Over 130 science teachers and leaders assembled yesterday for the 4th Annual Up & Atom Science Conference. Over 45 sessions were presented, and a TON of learning and fun took place. Unfortunately, I took ZERO pictures to document the event...So here is a picture of a cute kitten.
If you happen to have any pictures from the conference, please feel free to add them below!
Yesterday, LCISD high schools were able to drop 80+ Steelhead Trout into the Guadalupe River as a part of the Trout in the Classroom program supported by Trout Unlimited. Best of luck to the trout and the fishermen who may meet them next!

What a wonderful two days of 3D Science Learning with Paul Andersen with our elementary teachers and coaches! Teachers actively figured out science phenomena, asked questions and showed their best thinking through drawing models. In addition, they planned and conducted their own investigations and communicated their ideas by engaging in argumentation!

We set another record!! Today, we transported 1,048 steelhead trout to the Guadalupe River (Canyon Lake area) and released them to their new home. This is all part of the Trout in the Classroom program sponsored by Trout Unlimited. All 6 Lamar CISD high schools participated this year for the first time! Randle High School came out on top this year with 321 trout hatched, raised, and released. We are grateful for the amazing teachers and students who worked hard to make this happen.
