πŸ“’ Big News for Magnolia ISD Staff!

The Board of Trustees has officially approved the 2026-27 Compensation Plan, allocating $4.5 million specifically for staff compensation and benefits! This investment is a direct result of the district's strong fiscal stewardship and commitment to prioritizing our most valuable assetβ€”our people.

⭐ Minimum 3% Raise: Every MISD employee will receive at least a 3% pay increase.
⭐ Teacher Experience Incentives: To honor loyalty and experience, teacher raises are tiered up to 6% based on years of service.
⭐ $500 Retention Payment: All full-time employees will receive a one-time retention payment on their Sept. 15 payroll.
⭐ Custodial Pay Boost: A $2/hour increase for custodial staff to help close the pay gap.
⭐ New 401(a) Matching Program: A new retirement program launching Sept. 2026 will reward employees with 10+ years of service with matching contributions!
⭐ Health Insurance Support: Increased employer contributions toward health insurance by $50 to $100/month, depending on the plan.

🐢 Mylee Biaglow, MHS
She graduates from Magnolia High School with an exceptional record in academics, fine arts, and leadership, earning recognition as an AP Scholar with Distinction and National Merit Commended Scholar. A band leader and four-time State Solo and Ensemble participant, she has also advanced to state in UIL academics and remained active in honor societies and service. This fall she will attend The University of Texas at Austin this fall.

🐴 Stone Hawks, MWHS
He graduates from Magnolia West High School with an impressive record in academics and athletics, earning a 1570 SAT, AP Scholar with Distinction honors, and recognition as an outstanding student across multiple courses. A four-year varsity soccer player, he helped lead his team to its first 6A district championship in school history while earning First-Team All-District and Team MVP honors. This fall, he will attend The University of Texas at Austin to study aerospace engineering.

🐴 Zoe Zemencsik, MWHS - a dedicated student leader and dancer recognized for her academic excellence and significant commitment to community service. Her hard work and leadership have earned her numerous prestigious honors and awards throughout her high school career. This fall, she will attend the University of Texas at Austin to pursue a double-major and prepare for a career in biotechnology.
