Houston Elementary School’s Fall Parent-Teacher Conference sign-up is now available through PTCFast!

We look forward to connecting with families, sharing your child’s progress, celebrating successes, and discussing ways we can continue to support their learning and growth. ❤️

📅 Fall Conference Date: Monday, November 2nd
⏰ Conference times may vary by teacher, but conferences will generally begin around 8:30 a.m. and conclude around 6:30 p.m.

📌 A Few Important Notes

📚 Mrs. McCormick’s 1st Grade Class
Conferences for Mrs. McCormick’s class will be held on Wednesday, October 14th, rather than November 2nd.

🏫 5th & 6th Grade
The 5th and 6th grade team will not have individual conference sign-up times. Instead, they will offer open house, drop-in-style conferences. Families may stop in during the designated open house time to connect with teachers.

📣 HOUSTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS FAMILIES — WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Please take a few minutes to complete your Educational Benefits Form. These forms provide important information that helps support student programs, services, and funding for Houston Public Schools.

⚠️ This year, we did not qualify for Title I services because we did not have enough completed forms to report to the state. Every completed form makes a difference and helps us better support our students!

Skills camp this weekend!

October is anti bullying month. Parents: below is a link to a podcast that helps navigate bullying.

What can families do to address bullying and how can schools act proactively to prevent bullying altogether? We talked with Dr. Deborah Temkin to get answers. She shares strategies for supporting children who are bullied and offers advice to parents who have learned that their child is the bully.

Have questions about the amendment on our ballot on our upcoming Election Day? Check out this site:

Basically we can get more money for our schools without raising taxes, if you vote yes! If you leave it blank it counts as a no.

This fall Minnesotans have the opportunity to vote to update our state’s constitution to pass an amendment to improve how Minnesota’s Permanent School Fund supports students, schools, and communities.

Breakfast with Buddies is this Friday @ 730 am. Bring your family for breakfast at the elementary school.

We’ll have yummy donuts, coffee, hot cocoa, a Photo Booth area.

Let mom and dad, grandma and grandpa, your brother or auntie enjoy breakfast with you, meet your friends and take some funny pics!
