It may feel early to be talking about Christmas, but not too early to begin making plans. CIH Houston needs hosts to welcome International students who are studying at US colleges. You provide a bed and a few meals. You receive blessings abound as you learn about your student's culture and develop friendships. Students have activities planned nearly daily. Host families participate in as little or as much of the program as they like. For information, call Sheryl Tuttle on 713-817-5782.
Christmas International House Houston
This is our place to share stories, post pictures, and create memories of our time together through Christmas International House in Houston!
Christmas International House (CIH) is a peacekeeping program where families host international students during two weeks of the Christmas holidays. Students experience American family life and Christmas traditions. Families learn about different cultures. All experience new friendships and fellowship through shared meals, sightseeing and excursions.
We are sorry to announce that CIH Houston is on hiatus for this year. There just wasn't enough host families early enough to place students. Hopefully we will resume again next year. Stay posted!
It's that time of year - we are looking for host families for CIH 2015! Please let us know if you are interested in hosting an international student over the holidays!

What a wonderful time we've had over the past few weeks! But all good things must come to an end, and so also with this year's CIH program. Wishing students safe travels as you return to your universities and to your home countries. Students - thank you for selecting Houston as your CIH destination. Host Families - thank you for your wonderful hospitality and care of the students. This wouldn't happen without you. Happy New Year to all.

We had a GREAT Rice University tour....
Rice University hosted the G7 summit in 1990 and our international students are sitting on top the stone blocks used to commemorate the event.
At the 45, 90, 180 sculpture in the Engineering school quadrangle at Rice University, the students climbed on top the 180 for a photo op!
