Camp Houston Fire

The International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) advised that Erin Power's photo essay of the Local 341-supported nonprofit Camp Houston Fire won second place in the annual IAFF media awards, thanks to Jeff Caynon's nomination and camp cofounder Kim Phillips' help. He intends to donate the proceeds from the IAFF prize check of $250 to the burned children's fund in the next few days. Congratulations, Erin Powers!

Camp Houston Fire would like to say thank you to all our alumni and friends for their thoughts and prayers on the loss of our brothers and sister firefighters in HFD on Friday, May 31. Take today for reflection and time with your family and be thankful and peaceful. Our hearts are crushed and we will heal but we will never forget.

Hello 2013 Campers and volunteers and staff... it is with sincerest regret that camp has had to be cancelled for this year due to budgetary constraints from one of our partners that we discovered at the 11th hour. Our recrutiers hustled and the people that reviewed the applications are finished. Of the dozens of applications we received we have picked the 28 high schoolers for this year's camp. Look for letters in your mailbox, girls! We also have 4 girls from our HFD family coming to camp and that is always super nice... CHECK HERE OFTEN FOR UPDATES!!!

Houston Fire Department recruiting females to join force A recruitment effort to attract more women to HFD is underway and the deadline to join the program is fast approaching

HFD firefighters we are looking for some great instructors and helpers for camp this year. It isn't too late. Camp dates are March 22-24 and FF Jay Dummett from 28's is coordinating the volunteers. Contact him and come join us...
