Young Men (Ages 13–24) — Your Voice Matters

Have you been impacted by violence in your community? Your experience can help shape better solutions for youth across Texas.

The Youth Rising Lab at Texas A&M University and Dr. Noni Gaylord-Harden, are conducting an important study to understand how exposure to violence affects decision-making among young men.

✅ Earn up to $60 for participating
✅ Confidential surveys (45–60 minutes)
✅ Option to join a paid follow-up interview
✅ Safe, convenient locations or via Zoom

This research centers lived experience and aims to inform programs, policies, and supports that actually work for young people.

Hosted by Cognitive Justice Intl., this is more than just a picnic — it’s an opportunity to gather and co-create the vision for a holistic community retreat space rooted in healing, equity, and restoration.

🌿 What to Expect:

A beautiful acre pond open and accessible for quiet reflection or fun in the sun

Games and family-friendly activities like sack races, kites, lawn games, and more

A big tent for shade, porta-potties, cold water, refreshing drinks, and delicious food — all provided

A chance to explore the land, connect with like-minded individuals, and be part of something much bigger than a single day
