The Unwritten Rules of Work Finally Written Down. At Durable Minds Everboarding (DME), we believe life expects what schools don’t teach.

Our mission is to equip high-performing students, young professionals, and emerging leaders with the self-awareness, strategy, and real-world skills that open doors—and keep them open. Most students graduate with transcripts, not tools. They know how to take a test, but not how to receive feedback. They can write an essay, but not an email that gets a reply. We help young adults confidently bridge

Exciting news from the DME family! 🏆

Durable Minds Everboarding has been named the 2026 NACE Business Affiliate Award winner for Excellence in Leadership, and our CEO and Co-Founder, Jillian Ferry, is being recognized as the recipient.

This award honors individuals who have made a meaningful difference in the career services and workforce development industry. We are proud to do that work every day alongside the institutions, early-career professionals, and corporate partners who trust us to help bridge the gap from school to work and build truly workforce-ready talent.

To every partner, student, and collaborator who has been part of this journey: thank you. This is for you!

And we are not stopping there. Our Chief Education Officer and co-founder, Dr. Anh Lee, will be presenting at NACE 2026. If you are attending, do not miss her session.

, Thank you for this incredible honor!

This may hit a nerve.

Because if your first few months felt harder than they should have, this is why. It wasn't you. It was a system that dropped you in and hoped for the best.

Send this to that group chat with the weird name. You know which one. The one with the people who are figuring it out, and nobody is saying it out loud.

That's the gap. That's why DME exists. And that's exactly what we're here to fix.

If this resonated, follow along, you're going to love it here!

Onboarding was recently described to us as the dessert of the employee experience and we can't unhear it.

You get pudding when you deserve crème brûlée.

Most early career professionals enter the workforce feeling completely unprepared because nobody gave them the roadmap.

That's exactly why we built DurableSuccess.

I was not expecting this to happen this fast.

But when someone has the tools and actually uses them, the timeline compresses dramatically.

This is why the preparation gap matters. And this is why closing it changes everything.

Save this. Share it with someone who needs to hear it.

The data just came out and it's not pretty.

New grads are entering one of the most competitive job markets in recent memory. Internships are harder to find. And even when they land one it's not converting to a job the way it used to.

Here's what the data doesn't say, the system was never built for this moment. The education structure hasn't meaningfully changed in 150 years. It was designed for a different economy. A different industry. A different world.

And that misalignment between what schools teach and what the workforce actually needs is exactly the gap we are here to close.

It's okay to change your mind.

Even if you chased something hard. Even if you invested years into it.

The real question isn't whether you can quit. It's whether you can do it with integrity.

Not leaving people high and dry. Not burning bridges. Choosing the graceful exit over the dramatic one.

Ambition. Decision making. Endurance. Integrity.

That's how the DurableME cards work together. A living framework for the real decisions you face at every stage of life.

Where are you putting your endurance right now? And is it still worth it?

Give me 30 seconds because I promise this changes how you think about the next 90 days.

The skills that get you hired and the skills that get you promoted are not the same list. The sooner you know what's actually being evaluated, the sooner you can build toward it intentionally.

Self-awareness. Resilience. Curiosity. Discipline. Empathy.

None of them are on your resume. All of them are being evaluated.

These five are where we start. Follow along. This is exactly what we teach.

"Find your passion" is the biggest lie we tell early-career professionals.

Not because passion doesn't matter, but because it's such a small piece of what actually determines whether you succeed or struggle at work.

Nobody talks about corporate politics. Nobody talks about learning to advocate for yourself. Nobody talks about the fact that your relationship with your direct supervisor is the number one reason people leave jobs.

That one person determines whether you're seen as an asset or a liability.

So before you take the next offer, look past the job description. Look at the company. The environment. And especially the person you'll be reporting to.

That's what actually shapes your experience. That's what we're here to help you evaluate.

DM us READY to learn how.

I really wish I'd known this sooner. I spent years figuring out things that nobody ever sat down and taught me. That's why I do this.

Save this. Start with one. Come back and tell me which one you're working on.

I'm not up here with all the answers.

I'm in the mud with everyone else, trying to take the lessons of life, the good and the hard, and turn them into something meaningful.

No mud, no lotus.

Today's DurableME card is ambition. And it's one worth sitting with right now given everything the world is saying about hustle culture and where we should be putting our energy.

Here's what I know: ambition without self-awareness is exhausting. But when you get clear on what you actually want, why you want it, and whether you're chasing your own dreams or someone else's definition of success, something shifts.

You find endurance you didn't know you had.

That's the kind of ambition worth building.

Which season of ambition are you in right now?

04/29/2026

This may hit a nerve.

Because the system did exactly what it was designed to do. It prepared you to perform in school. It just didn't prepare you for what comes after.

The promotion. The visibility. Knowing when to speak up and how to take up space without apologizing for it.

That's the gap. And it's not your fault. But it is yours to close.

If this resonated with you, follow along for more tips. That's exactly what we're here for.
