Thank you! It takes a village as they say. :)
Did you know that Space Station Explorers partners with more than 40 organizations to help leverage the International Space Station for educational purposes? Did you also know that you can have an astronaut read your students a story from space? Story Time From Space is a phenomenal program and we are proud to partner with to promote literacy and a love of reading in every child. Congratulations for being our Partner of the Month!

This is a picture that a young woman who is going to school to be an astrophysicist took (look on a big screen to see the amazing detail). She was at the same location (Dallas Arboretum) as the Story Time From Space crew of myself, Jeff Bennett, and Alvin Drew. The eclipse was perfection! You could see the movement all around the edges, waves quickly moving across the concrete under our feet (I still need a good explanation of this), purple horizon, change of temperature, birds being confused, and crowds cheering! Yes - people cheering for science!!!! Epic!

New readings coming soon!
We have, not one, but THREE awesome new videos on the way! Steve Bowen, who recently returned from the Space Station, read "Totality!" by Jeffery Bennett in preparation for the October 14, 2023 annular eclipse and the April 8, 2024 total eclipse. "Totality!" features a unique combination of rhyme and science that makes it suitable for a wide range of ages. Steve did a reading with a "Kinesthetic Astronomy" demonstration for little kids and then did a deep-dive science reading for our older kids. Plus, we have an eclipsed based Science Time From Space demonstration from the ISS! Can you tell we are excited!? Will you and your students be watching the eclipse? Tell us about the exciting things your planning for the big event!
