Fourth grade Gifted and Talented students from Dickinson ISD participated in their final Investigators mini college course at University of Houston-Clear Lake. The culminating Showcase provided students the opportunity to proudly present their spring semester projects to their families and celebrate their learning.

Throughout the year, students engaged in ten college-level mini-courses, gaining valuable academic experiences and exposure to advanced content. The Investigators Program is part of an ongoing partnership between Dickinson ISD Advanced Academics and the University of Houston–Clear Lake Center for Educational Programs, designed to enrich and extend learning opportunities for our students.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our community screening of Charlie Bird at Kranz Junior High. It was incredible to see our students, families, and community come together to celebrate a film that started right here in Dickinson ISD. 💙💚

**Important update: K.E. Little Elementary without power**

At this time, the campus is currently without power. Service providers are on their way and working to restore electricity as quickly as possible.

Lunch has already been served, and all students remain safe inside their classrooms.

Dismissal will continue as scheduled. However, if you would like to pick up your child early, you may do so by bringing a valid photo ID. Please note that due to the power outage, the checkout process may take longer than usual.

We do not have an estimated time for when power will be restored, but we will keep you updated with any new information.

Pre-K & Kindergarten Early Enrollment is Almost Here! 🎉

Dickinson ISD is excited to welcome our newest Gators for the 2026–2027 school year with a simple 2-step early enrollment process for Pre-K and Kindergarten! 💙🐊

Step 1:
🗓 April 1 – May 8
Complete your online enrollment at www.dickinsonisd.org

Step 2:
🗓 May 8
Attend the Pre-K & Kinder Early Enrollment Event to complete the process

⏰ Event Times: 8–11:30 a.m. & 12–3 p.m.
📍 Location: Dickinson ISD Education Support Center

Who’s Eligible?

Kindergarten:
✔ Must be 5 years old by September 1, 2026

Pre-K:
✔ Must be 4 years old by September 1, 2026 and meet one of the following:
• Limited English proficiency
• Low income (qualifies for national lunch program)
• Homeless (as defined by federal law)
• Military child (active duty, injured, or fallen)
• In foster care or adopted from foster care
• Child of a peace officer, firefighter, or EMT eligible for the Star of Texas Award
• Child of a Dickinson ISD classroom teacher

🚨 Can’t make it on May 8?
No problem! Families can complete enrollment during the Centralized Enrollment Event on August 4, 2026.

Our talented students competed at the UIL One Act Play Zone Contest yesterday, and we’re proud to share that Anatomy of Gray earned all 1’s from all three judges—making DHS the 1st place advancing school to the District level! 👏
