In the case of Nineveh, God's message through Jonah was, “Repent of your sin within 40 days and you shall be saved.” God set a deadline of 40 days, “Yet 40 days and Nineveh […]” They repented and God saved them. ( we dont know if we have 40 days.)

Once upon a time when I was 16 years old I was in a band called KUBA. It was called Kuba (pronounced kooba) because our leader Tony Taboada was from Cuba and we liked the name.We had a gig at U of H and there were a lot of bands playing for this event. When it came time for us to play our drummer Steve Gremillion , had not yet arrived, probably because he was trying to make his way through Houston traffic on a 3 Wheeler motorcycle that was once a cop motorcycle and carrying his drums with him lol. Kind of hilarious when you put the pieces together from the past. So it came time for us to play and he had not yet arrived and so Tony said "Hey go on out there and play something." So, I went out onto the stage and sat down legs crossed Yoga style on the floor of the stage. There was no stool or anything that I could sit on so I just sat on the floor. I played Comet Song which I had recently written within the past year . After we were finished playing The guy taking tickets at the door told me that Lou Adler wanted to see me. I did not know who Lou Adler was at the time and I said I'm not gonna go see him I don't know who that guy is! So when I told Tony he was like, no you have to go, we have to go. So we talked to the guy who had told me and he arranged for us to see him. So we waited in Lou Adler's limousine for him to come. Now if you don't know who Lou Adler is he was the Producer for Mash, the movie and Brewster McCloud which had just finished Production that week in Houston, and they were having their cast party the next day. So Lou Adler came and talked with us and gave us the contracts. They were with Ode Records a division of Capitol Records at the time. The next day we were invited to 1400 Richmond to the cast party where I sat a few feet from Sally Kellerman (Major Houlihan,) on the ground as she listened to me play. Bud Cort was also there ( Private Boone in MASH, Title character Brewster McCloud, and Harold in Harold and Maude.) So, we were supposed to submit a demo to Mr. Adler and we really didn't have any resources at all to work with. We recorded it in Steve Navarro our bass players bedroom studio, and I guess it was pretty bad nothing ever came of it. Later that year he Presented his artist, Carol King.
