During our elections, there were no write-in nominations for the open positions listed above. We will begin the fall semester with a second round of elections to complete the full Leadership Team. Please be thinking over the summer, if you might have an interest in serving in a leadership role within the organization! It's a ton of fun and a great opportunity to build leadership skills (plus it looks great on a grad school application or resume)!

We have decided to cancel today’s meeting since we will be having our end-of-year celebration on the 27th🎉. Join us for a potluck-style lunch 🍽️ from 12 PM to 1 PM on the 27th as we bid farewell to our seniors and celebrate the end of the semester.

We hope you had a fun and restful weekend! This is a reminder about our bi-monthly SWSO meeting happening tomorrow from 12:00 to 1:00 PM in Bayou Building, Room 1437.

Here are a few topics we’ll cover during the meeting:

🔹Transitioning into the Workforce Workshop - (April 6th): Join us tomorrow night at 5:30 PM for a free workshop open to all. We’ll focus on resume building, LinkedIn tips, interview preparation, and other workforce-related topics.

🔹Carnival Night - (April 18th): Mark your calendar for April 18th! Join us for fun games, delicious food, music, and prizes. We will be hosting a game booth!

🔹 Tomorrow, Mon 3/16, please join the UHCL BSW Program as they celebrate March as Social Work Month! Join us in Atrium I anytime between 11am & 5:30pm; the seniors in internship will be presenting their agencies and celebrating the impact of social work in our community!
🔹 We have our Casa Mateo Board Game Drive, which ends on March 26th. Please donate if you can!
🔹 On Monday, March 23rd, we will be having our Spring Bake Sale Fundraiser for Casa Mateo. Please stop by and purchase some baked goods from A & A Bakery.
🔹 We have a Casa Mateo Volunteer event coming up in a few weeks. We’ll be discussing details and finalizing participants in our meeting tomorrow!
