Stoney Gill Today, God blessed me as I wrote a Bible study on the temptation of Jesus in the wilderness (Matthew 4). After Jesus had fasted 40 days, the devil tempted him according to the flesh, then according to what he could see with his eyes, and then according to the pride of life. Jesus was victorious over all three. It was after I had written out the whole study that I realized all of the temptations had been listed by the apostle that Jesus loved in 1 John 2:15-17. It is awesome to see such powerful correlations in God's Holy Word. Bless you for this post.
