Last week, five Galena Park ISD CTE students took an exciting step toward their futures at the inaugural ABC/CMEF Career Draft Day alongside industry partners Austin Industrial, Brown & Root, Marek, Turner Industries, and Worley. Students signed their intent to hire and officially began launching careers in the skilled trades and construction industry. We are incredibly grateful to ABC/CMEF, our industry partners, and our dedicated CTE teachers who continue creating pathways for students to succeed. The future is bright for these students, and we cannot wait to watch them grow into the next generation of industry leaders.

We are proud to celebrate an amazing accomplishment — 448 graduating seniors (class size of 1069 students) earned Industry-Based Certifications (IBCs) over the course of their high school years…👏

These certifications represent countless hours of hard work, dedication, hands-on training, and career readiness. Our students are graduating not only with diplomas, but with real-world skills and credentials that prepare them for college, careers, and beyond.
