I’m excited to share *Soft Currents of the Sky*, a 16 by 20 inch oil painting on canvas panel. This work explores subtle shifts in blue—from a deep, vivid tone at the top, flowing gently into lighter hues below—paired with soft, wispy clouds rendered in pale blues and whites. The smooth brushwork creates a quiet, open atmosphere that invites reflection and calm. I found inspiration in the clarity of Giotto’s blue skies, seeking to capture a sense of hope and spaciousness through color and texture. This piece is about the quiet strength of a clear day, the feeling of gentle movement across an expansive sky.

I’m pleased to introduce my new oil painting, *Impasto Waves in Gray*, measuring 24 by 18 by 1 inches on cradled board. This piece uses a monochromatic palette of black, gray, and white, with broad, sweeping brushstrokes layered with varied textures. The thick application of paint creates a tactile surface where light and shadow play across the canvas. Drawing inspiration from German Neo-Expressionism, the composition channels a sense of turbulence and movement, with overlapping forms suggesting an obscured scene beneath the surface. Through the impasto technique, I aimed to capture both depth and intensity, inviting viewers to engage with the work’s physicality and layered complexity.

I’m excited to share my latest oil painting, *Echoes of an Arctic Reverie*. The piece measures 24 by 18 by 1 inch and is painted on cradled board. Using a soft palette of light blues, whites, and pale pinks, I built the composition with broad, sweeping brushstrokes and subtle layers to create a sense of depth and quiet movement. The textures and gentle color transitions aim to evoke the tranquil atmosphere of an Arctic landscape seen through the lens of memory and dream. This work invites reflection on calmness and fluidity, balancing cool and warm tones to capture an ethereal, almost misty presence. Creating it was a process of exploring softness and layering in oil, focused on expressing a serene yet dynamic space.

I’m sharing a new oil painting titled *Impasto Tide*, sized 24 by 18 inches on cradled board. This piece explores layers of blue and white through thick, textured brushstrokes that move both horizontally and vertically. The dense impasto application builds a tactile surface where patches of white break through deeper blues, creating a sense of shifting light and shadow. Inspired by German Neo-Expressionism, the work captures a moody, atmospheric tension—suggesting movement contained within a defined space. The process of applying paint in heavy layers allowed me to emphasize texture and depth, inviting viewers to engage with the physicality of the surface and the quiet rhythms beneath.

I’m excited to share my latest oil painting, *Industrial Pulse in Red and Gray*. This 24 by 18-inch piece on multi-media board explores an abstract landscape shaped by bold strokes of red and blue at the top, fading into layered grays and muted blues below. I used a palette knife to create textured, almost metallic surfaces that contrast with smoother, sweeping brushwork. The interplay of these colors and textures is meant to evoke the energy and rhythm of an urban or industrial environment—raw, dynamic, and unrefined. Working on this piece challenged me to balance vigorous movement with a sense of structure, inviting viewers to experience the tension and flow within the composition.

I'm excited to share my latest artwork, "Vortex of Civic Colors." This 24 x 18 oil on oil paper piece is an abstract exploration of movement and depth. The painting is dominated by a bold gradient, transitioning from an intense red at the top to a vivid blue at the bottom, with a central swirl of red and gray. The vortex-like pattern is designed to draw you in, reflecting the dynamic nature of our democracy. This piece was inspired by the complexities and challenges we face in our civic life, and the creative process was unique as it delved into the draining elements reminiscent of James Turrell's influences. I'm thrilled to finally unveil this work and hope it resonates with you as it does with me.

I'm thrilled to share my latest artwork titled "Expanse of Earth and Sky," a serene landscape painting measuring 16 x 12 x 1 inches. This piece, crafted with oil on cradled board, captures the vast beauty of a desert under a wide sky. I drew inspiration from the tonalism of Marfa, Texas, and it was fascinating to explore the color values to evoke a sense of calm and expansiveness. The warm, earthy tones of the desert contrast beautifully with the vibrant blues and pastel hues of the sky, creating a timeless moment around sunrise or sunset. I hope this painting brings you the same peace and wonder it brought me while creating it.
