D&D Adventurer's League: Moonshae Treasure Hunt (Level 1) CCC-BMG-MOON1-1 | Meetup Sun, Mar 13, 1:00 PM CDT: ***Moonshae Treasure Hunt:*** The Moonshae Isles, beautiful and dangerous, provide adventurers the opportunity to fight evil—and uncover ancient secrets and treasures. When
Admittedly, I've been dragging my feet about making this announcement: MAGCON isn't happening in April (maybe not ever).
That's the short version. The long version:
1. The school district made a decision that effectively made it unviable for us to hold the convention as we normally do. This decision had nothing to do with Covid; it was another issue. It was a a fairly recent decision and it didn't allow us enough reaction time to rework the venue. (It is highly unlikely that MAGCON will be held as a fundraiser in NCISD again)
2. Due to #1, there won't be a MAGCON at the beginning of April.
3. I am exploring the option of trying to hold the event at another venue and for a different charity. I have the charity in mind, but finding a good venue is an issue. I have started to explore some options. Definitely open to suggestions from attendees. Prefer it to be in the Humble/Kingwood/New Caney area.
4. If we can locate a venue, then we are tentatively looking at holding the event around the 9th of July (this is just the current idea for the date, it is subject to change) this year. As far as 2023, I have not thought that far ahead. One step at a time.
So that's not good news. I've been holding off making the announcement, because I kept hoping we could pull something together still for April. That didn't happen. Once we know more about a possible date later in the year, we'll post it here. I really don't want to see this great event die after 13 years. Thank you for your continued support!

MAGCON 2021 was a great time last weekend. Our fundraising mission was a success with over $3500 raised for The Learning Center in NCISD. We had over 100 attendees in person, plus approximately 80 more attended for various virtual events. Thanks to all our GMs and players for making the show a success!
Our sincere gratitude for the efforts of Allen McKnight (D&D Adventurers League organizer), Jhonna Niver (virtual board games organizer), and Aaron Reichgott (Pathfinder/Starfinder Society organizer). Thank you.
We would like to thank all our vendors and sponsors: Blue Cherry Faerie, Broemer & Associates Law Firm, Dann Kris Games, Ettin Games, GM Kelso (author), Guardian Moon Games, Impressive Inks, The Long Con, The Nerds, Phoenix Fire Lasers, and Space Cadets Gaming.
A special thanks to Jhonna & Robert Niver, Matt & Michelle Curless, Sherice Burks, Cherry & Brian Krolczyk, and others, for their generous donations of items to the auction and door prizes. The auction alone raised $1072!
