🇺🇸🌺 This Memorial Day and Remembrance Day, many Powell locations across the globe gathered together for “See You at the Pole” moments at our flag poles to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their countries. Employees, veterans, military families, and leaders came together to reflect, share stories, and remember friends, family members, and fellow service members whose impact continues to live on through the people they inspired.
These gatherings were more than ceremonies. They were moments of connection, gratitude, and remembrance. Across our teams, stories were shared about service, sacrifice, camaraderie, and the lasting bonds formed through military life. We are deeply grateful to our veteran employees for both their service and for helping keep the memories of the fallen alive within our communities and workplaces.
❤️Thank you to everyone who participated and took time to honor those we have lost, support one another, and reflect on the meaning behind these important days of remembrance.

⚡The United States White House recently classified transformers, switchgear, and substations as essential to national defense through the Defense Production Act Section 303, reinforcing the critical role electrical infrastructure plays in supporting the country’s growing energy demands.
For the last 80 years, Powell is proud to design and manufacture products in the U.S. with a local content that ranges between 90-100%, supported by American workers, fabrication partners, and suppliers, all while being headquartered in Houston, Texas. 💚
As demand for reliable power systems continues to rise across manufacturing, industry, utilities, and data centers, Powell is in a strong position to help support the evolving infrastructure needs of our customers through dependable, American-built electrical solutions.

😁This year, Powell proudly launched its first-ever cycling team for the 2026 ACC Texas MS 150, a two-day, up to 96 mile ride from Houston to College Station dedicated to changing the lives of those affected by Multiple Sclerosis. With nearly 5,000 participants, this event stands as the largest Bike MS ride in the United States, and we were honored to be part of something so meaningful!
Our team rode with purpose, fueled by the stories of friends and family members impacted by MS and the shared commitment to support ongoing research that brings hope to those living with the disease. From miles of training to crossing the finish line, the experience was built on teamwork, perseverance, and a belief in making a difference beyond the workplace.
In our first year, Powell's seven riders united to raise over $9,000 while proudly donning the Powell "Ride. Power. Cure." jersey. This incredible achievement exceeded our expectations and supported a cause that aids patients, families, caregivers, and the medical community in the pursuit of a cure. At the end of day one, we set up a team tent at the Fayette County Fairgrounds in La Grange, TX, where volunteers, friends, and a special appearance by our CEO and his family rallied behind our cycling team. The sense of community both on and off the course made this endeavor even more meaningful as teammates, volunteers, and supporters came out in full force! 🚴♂️💪❤️
We are incredibly proud of our team and grateful to everyone who supported this effort. This is just the beginning too; Powell is already gearing up to ride again in 2027!

💚Powell sponsored the IEEE PES Switchgear Committee once again this year! This committee plays a vital role in advancing the practice of electrical engineering through the development of standards, recommended practices, and technical guidance, while also considering the broader impact on society, the environment, and the industry as a whole.
We’re also proud and excited to have many of our engineers actively participating in the committee’s work, contributing their expertise and engaging in the conversations that help shape the future of our field.
