We had our date night right in the middle of hurricane chaos.

Despite the whirlwind of travel and the uncertainty of our home situation with lights and wifi, being back and tackling those mundane tasks felt surprisingly good. From cleaning the kitchen to doing laundry (thank you, love, for handling that!), it was all part of getting back into our routine, especially with House of Dragon on the line - no way were we missing that!

Amidst it all, we held steadfast to our Wednesday Date Night, which became a beacon of normalcy and connection for us. It helped clear the air after what felt like a heavy month, full of highs and lows.

During our time away, whether it was the traveling, indulging a bit too much, or just being together 24/7, we faced some tough moments. It's easy to fall into misunderstandings and unspoken expectations, leading to hurt feelings and walls between us. With the kids home for the summer and a hurricane throwing us curveballs like power outages and keeping everyone cool, sticking to our date night was crucial. It provided us with a dedicated time to be honest, to listen, and to laugh together.

From sipping drinks and discussing our feelings to dancing and laughing, our night out rekindled our spark. It reminded me that amidst the challenges, I'm not alone, and our love is a source of strength.
