This week we are recognizing the "father of the third rail", Bion J Arnold pioneered street railways in numerous cities across the United States and helped bring electricity to NewYork's Grand Central Station. In addition to his work on railways, Arnold also invented a magnetic clutch and improved storage batteries. Arnold served as AIEE President(a predecessor to IEEE) in 1903 nad 1904.
