We have had a fantastic first week of school, and now is a great time to learn or refresh yourselves on the traffic patterns for drop off and pickup. Make sure to follow these rules for the safety of all students, families, and community members!

➡ Pre-K and Kinder enter in through the brick arches at the end of the driveway

➡ 1st graders, 2nd graders, and all walkers enter through the main entrance door on the right side of the driveway

➡ 3rd - 5th grade car riders and younger siblings in the same car may enter through the blacktop at the rear of the school off Byway street

🙏 Please follow the path marked with yellow arrows in the graphics to get in line for morning drop off and afternoon pick up
🚫 No cutting the line! Do not use Pickens street to cut the morning drop off line

🎉 Happy Birthday to our wonderful Kindergarten teacher, Ms. Niño! ✨

Today, we’re celebrating the amazing person behind the classroom! Ms. Niño enjoys painting, building with Legos, coloring, and cooking and baking. She’s a coffee lover who appreciates the calming scents of vanilla and lavender and loves daisies, succulents, and sunflowers.

As a Kindergarten teacher, she’s also always looking/ wanting more fun and engaging literacy and math activities or games to bring into her classroom—because learning should be hands-on, creative, and fun!

We hope your birthday is filled with creativity, sunshine, and all the things that bring you joy!

A little caffeine, a lot of appreciation. ☕💙

As our Memorial staff kicks off a new school year, Mustang Realtor Alexis Mendoza | Houston Realtor®️ helped make the morning a little sweeter by treating the team to a drink of their choice from Travelin Toms of Houston ☕️ It’s a simple gesture, but these are the moments that remind us how special it is to be part of a community that shows up for the people who show up for our kids every single day.

Our teachers and staff pour so much energy, patience, and heart into Memorial Elementary. Having local businesses, neighbors, and Memorial families step in to say, “We appreciate you,” makes a real difference and helps strengthen the connections that make our school community feel like home.

First day smiles, fresh backpacks, new shoes, and the photos we’ll all be looking back on way too soon.

Thank you to our Memorial families for sharing these sweet snapshots from the first day of school. Seeing our Mustangs together, from our youngest students starting a brand new adventure to our returning kids walking in a little taller, is such a good reminder of what makes this community special.

Here’s to new friendships, favorite teachers, big milestones, little victories, and all the memories still to come this year.
