Anyone else think it sounds too easy? Honestly, 7 step prayer program sounds better. Or a maybe how-to tiktok or YouTube video?

YetJohn is saying If I want to grow in prayer, I need to stay connected to the vine? Seems too simple!!

Maybe I’m a slow learner, but everywhere I turn it seems like God’s showing me simple doesn’t always mean easy. In this distracted and digitally connected world, abiding in Christ is one of the hardest things to do!

But man oh man, is it worth it!

Abide in Christ and your prayers will be answered.

Don’t take my word for it. Dig deeper in John 15:1-11 and find out exactly how worth it is!!

Ever start praying and suddenly you find yourself thinking about your to-do list, or that thing you need to email the teacher about or how you need to buy more toilet paper???

it’s a problem for me. Instead of fighting it, I’ve started keeping this notepad handy and just jot down my stray thoughts and quickly return to my prayers.

We record our prayers SO THAT we can remember that GOD does in fact do amazing things in us, for us, through us.

Remembering God’s works and ways, 100% of the time, leads me to love Him deeper.

Friends, if your not in the habit of recording your prayers, I urge you to start today. Start by doing what comes naturally to most of us, by making a list.

On a post it, in a notebook, on your phone, just start noting your prayers.

And then, every once in a while, go back and review your lists.

If I were a betting girl, I would go all in on this: Record your prayers. Review them periodically and YOU WILL REMEMBER that God is good and kind and faithful to you.

November is the month to be thankful isn’t it? Gosh I love reading them. They are always good reminders to count our blessings.

But sometimes I wonder if our 30 days of thankful could go deeper? Sometimes I wonder if we’re stopping short.
