Two years ago, one of my best friends and now business partner, Jocelyn, and I took a leap of faith and founded Bright Future Autism Academy.
With nothing more than a dream, a calling from God, and our teacher salaries to support us, we set out to create something special for children with autism and other disabilities. We handpicked an incredible group of people who believed in our vision and joined us as we launched our Summer, Thanksgiving, and Christmas camps.
The journey has been far from easy. We are both full-time teachers, wives, mothers, grandmothers, and women with very full schedules. There have been long nights, early mornings, countless lesson plans, endless preparations, and many moments when we simply had to trust God and keep moving forward.
Today, as I sit by the pool watching my grandchildren enjoy the beginning of their summer break, I find myself reflecting on how far God has brought us. In just a few days, on June 1st, we will begin our THIRD summer camp season. What an incredible blessing!
I want to take a moment to thank every person who has supported us, encouraged us, prayed for us, volunteered, shared our posts, trusted us with their children, and believed in our vision. Your support means more than you will ever know.
I also want to thank our amazing staff members who have stood beside us and believed in our mission. Your dedication, patience, compassion, and love for our campers are the heart of Bright Future Autism Academy.
As we prepare to welcome another group of wonderful campers, I humbly ask for your prayers. Please pray for wisdom, guidance, endurance, love, patience, and strength as we continue this journey. God knows how much work, passion, and love go into every lesson plan, every storybook, every activity, and every moment we spend with our campers.
Our dream of one day opening Bright Future Autism Academy full-time is still alive, and we trust Godβs timing every step of the way.
Most importantly, all honor and all glory belong to God. Without Him, none of this would be possible.
God bless BFAA and the beautiful families we are honored to serve. π
What started as a leap of faith is already impacting so many children and families. πππ»
