Remember the Alamo! Our little Texans had free rein of the loose parts and craft supplies and came up with some amazing Alamo projects!

After a late night out at the rodeo, we eased in with some Alamo construction in our jammies. We’ve been studying the Alamo for about a week and have learned a lot!

People often ask me how we teach multiple grades at once. Like this! Same intro minilesson: review of arrays for some, guided practice for others…the focus or outcome is different. One student helps reinforce ideas for her friend, while her buddy is also exposed to concepts yet to come. Independent practice will reflect individual skills. Learning in mixed-level groups is fun! This activity previews a collaborative project we’ll start tomorrow.

Our spooky take on Gallon Guy…measurement monsters! Everyone enjoyed this project together, but will use it differently as a resource for their own grade-level skills.

School is in session! So blessed to have Heather and William on this journey with us. ❤️ I’ll try to post more of our adventures this year. 🤗

🔔 Before opening a licensed in-home preschool that transitioned to a micro-school for grades K-3, I taught grades 4 & 5 in public school (and had two children of my own).
I have collected so. much. stuff over the past 12 YEARS…and I’m ready to SELL!!!
-classroom furniture, rugs
-classroom decorations
-class sets of binders and table supplies
-almost the ENTIRE Handwriting Without Tears curriculum: the awesome hands-on stuff
-class libraries, including literature circle sets (board books through middle school)
-toys (so, so many toys for dramatic play and STEM exploration, in “like new” condition)
-games
- VTech tablets, LeapFrog
-MANIPULATIVES GALORE
-flexible seating (yoga mats, cushions, etc.)
-anchor charts, laminated borders, unopened rolls of bulletin board paper (the good stuff!)
-listening center with group sets of books
-Children’s clothes & shoes (some never worn), room decor

There will also be housewares, curtains, wall decor, ALL KINDS OF STUFF

***Friday, April 29th I will make APPOINTMENTS with school directors and teachers (new to teaching or new to a grade level) who’d like to take advantage of bulk pricing! Come collect your goodies and let’s bundle the cost. 😃
**I will accept checks from schools/homeschool organizations, but otherwise cash payment only.

Our neighborhood garage sale will take place Saturday, April 30th, so you can still come see me then.

These kids have crushed their goals this year, and KA families were so happy to celebrate with pizza, ice cream, and playtime this weekend. We are so proud of you, love bugs!

Students were given $140 to start up their ice cream truck business. They decided upon the name of their business, how they would attract customers, and what supplies were most necessary to open their ice cream truck. They created a menu (including strategically setting prices), and set up shop! 🍦😃
