People often ask me how we teach multiple grades at once. Like this! Same intro minilesson: review of arrays for some, guided practice for others…the focus or outcome is different. One student helps reinforce ideas for her friend, while her buddy is also exposed to concepts yet to come. Independent practice will reflect individual skills. Learning in mixed-level groups is fun! This activity previews a collaborative project we’ll start tomorrow.

ATTENTION: TEACHERS, SCHOOL DIRECTORS, PARENTS OF YOUNG CHILDREN—HUGE SALE COMING UP 4/29-4/30 🤩🥳

🔔 Before opening a licensed in-home preschool that transitioned to a micro-school for grades K-3, I taught grades 4 & 5 in public school (and had two children of my own).
I have collected so. much. stuff over the past 12 YEARS…and I’m ready to SELL!!!
-classroom furniture, rugs
-classroom decorations
-class sets of binders and table supplies
-almost the ENTIRE Handwriting Without Tears curriculum: the awesome hands-on stuff
-class libraries, including literature circle sets (board books through middle school)
-toys (so, so many toys for dramatic play and STEM exploration, in “like new” condition)
-games
- VTech tablets, LeapFrog
-MANIPULATIVES GALORE
-flexible seating (yoga mats, cushions, etc.)
-anchor charts, laminated borders, unopened rolls of bulletin board paper (the good stuff!)
-listening center with group sets of books
-Children’s clothes & shoes (some never worn), room decor

There will also be housewares, curtains, wall decor, ALL KINDS OF STUFF

***Friday, April 29th I will make APPOINTMENTS with school directors and teachers (new to teaching or new to a grade level) who’d like to take advantage of bulk pricing! Come collect your goodies and let’s bundle the cost. 😃
**I will accept checks from schools/homeschool organizations, but otherwise cash payment only.

Our neighborhood garage sale will take place Saturday, April 30th, so you can still come see me then.

-Teacher plans fourth day of instruction to be supervised at home
-Family field trips to support learning

Students were given $140 to start up their ice cream truck business. They decided upon the name of their business, how they would attract customers, and what supplies were most necessary to open their ice cream truck. They created a menu (including strategically setting prices), and set up shop! 🍦😃
