Wrapping up Week 1 of the 2021 Virtual Summer Biomedical Academy. Today we had neurosurgeon Dr. Jeffrey Weinberg talk about career path and experiences in medicine with our interested high school students!

All free science kits for our 2021 virtual Science Night event have been claimed! However please do continue to register for our virtual event to receive the direct link to the experiment videos and supply list. We will have a waiting list in case more science kits become available.

A message from Student Counseling Services:

Student Counseling Services is hosting a Webex Discussion on “Healing Racial Trauma” on Thursday, 7/9/2020, from 3-4pm, and would like to invite students to attend. We would also like to encourage students to submit questions in advance to [email protected] to help us better address students’ concerns.

We will be discussing the impact of overt and subtle racism, how to cope, where to seek support, how to support one another, and answering students’ questions. Discussion panelists will include psychologists/faculty members from our Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Dr. Angela Heads, Dr. Melba Hernandez-Tejada, and Dr. Andrea Taylor, and Student Counseling Services clinicians, Dr. Sudhakar Selvaraj, Dr. Jennifer Bahrman, and me.
