🎉 We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Math-A-Matics Tutoring has been selected as a 2025 Evidence for Impact grantee by Accelerate!

This incredible opportunity allows us to strengthen our high-dosage tutoring model for secondary students (grades 6-12) while partnering with researchers to rigorously measure what works best for our Mathletes.

After 12+ years of helping students "Catch Up, Keep Up, & Get Ahead," we're honored to contribute research evidence that can be implemented nationwide to help address the secondary math crisis. Our goal has always been to ensure every student has access to the foundational math skills they need for college and career success - and this grant helps us prove what we've seen work time and time again.

Another year, another round of first day jitters conquered! 🎒✏️

This year we’re sending off a Kindergartener, 3rd Grader, & 5th Grader into the world. Each year brings new math concepts, new challenges, and new opportunities to grow. We’re excited (and maybe a little emotional) watching them tackle everything from basic addition to multiplication tables!

As educators, we know how important these foundation years are. As parents, we know how fast they go by. 🥹

Sadly, summer has wrapped up for some and is quickly coming to an end for others. Families, now is the best time to start implementing a smooth transition back to school routines, and keeping that math momentum going is key!

We love seeing resources like this shared. In our experience working with families, even just 10-15 minutes of math play a few times a week can make such a difference when kids return to the classroom. Whether it's cooking together (hello, fractions and measurements!), playing math games during car rides, or exploring those fun resources shared here, every bit helps.

What we've noticed over the years is that families who make math feel natural and enjoyable at home often see the biggest confidence boosts in their kids. Thanks for sharing this great resource! National Student Support Accelerator

What are your favorite learning activities during the break? ⤵️

This survey was right on time. Just being honest, we are fans of both digital calculators like Desmos and the handheld TI calculators. We choose according to a students access, understanding and what they are using the tool for. While they can be heavy distractions they are game changers when students know when and how to effectively use them. Are u team digital calculators or handheld? Let us know in the comments! ♥️💙
