The countdown to Eighth Grade Graduation is on! đ
We're excited to highlight our eighth graders each Thursday until graduation. Each spotlight features a Portrait of a Graduate attribute intentionally selected by our dean of spiritual life, words and reflections from their teachers and the high schools they plan to attend.
We're so proud of the Class of 2026! đđ
Our eighth grade entrepreneurship students brought slime dreams to life and third grade understood the assignment: mix, stretch, create!
As the winning homeroom from our Warriors on the Green live auction, third grade got to enjoy a hands-on Slime Party full of colors, textures and fun mix-ins, all led by FBAâs Entrepreneurship Internship students.
Even better, proceeds from this live auction item reinvest in The SWAP Shop and future student-led business ventures, giving our young entrepreneurs more opportunities to grow, lead and gain real-world experience.
Now thatâs a stretchy situation with a purpose!

Our toddlers, twos and prek students had a great time at today's Teddy Bear Picnics with Mrs. Marcy! 𧸠From sharing which stuffed animal they brought to enjoying Chick-fil-A and songs, these picnics were too much fun.
Thank you to the parents for supporting FBA and purchasing a ticket to this experience in our Warriors on the Green Silent Auction!

Our head of school, Mrs. Chambers, surprised one of our first grade classes with a special holiday visit this week! đ She read "The Legend of the Candy Cane" by Lori Walburg and brought a candy cane treat for each student. What a fun Christmas surprise for these first graders!

Yesterday, we celebrated our newest junior thespians at the induction ceremony for First Baptist Academy Troupe 12878, a chartered member of the International Thespian Society. Founded in 1929, the society is the only organization that honors middle school students for outstanding work in theatre, focusing on students, their achievements and aims to provide access to quality theatre arts instruction.
Induction into the International Thespian Society is the highest honor a theatre student can earn. We are proud of our seventh and eighth grade inductees for their leadership and dedication to the arts.

Book Fair Family Night brought our community together earlier this week during our Space City Reads Book Fair, and we were excited to see a few alumni join us. Once a Warrior, always a Warrior!
Last nightâs Book Fair Family Night brought our community together for an evening of fun as we celebrated developing Warriors who love to read! Families spent time shopping at the Space City Reads Book Fair, kids enjoyed inflatables on the lawn, Diesel from the Houston Dynamo stopped by for photos and our basketball halftimes turned into lively knockout games. We loved seeing so many families on campus as we kicked off book fair week, and thereâs still time to stop by and shop the fair.

This fall, the First Baptist Academy community came together to support the Houstonâs First Faith Centers through our Warriors Serve Food Drive. Students, families, faculty and staff joined in a schoolwide effort to collect nonperishable food items, canned goods and non-food essentials for those in need, ultimately gathering 25,743 items to help stock the Faith Centersâ shelves.
As the culmination of our 'Known and Loved' emphasis month, this initiative allowed students to focus on the truth that we are fully known and deeply loved by God, and the calling to know and love others. Classrooms were assigned specific items to encourage participation, and throughout the drive, students learned about food insecurity and the impact of serving their community. Overflowing bins across campus reflected not only generosity but also the heart of a school eager to live out its faith in action.
We were grateful for the opportunity to partner with Houston's First Baptist Church - The Loop and support the ongoing ministry of the Faith Centers. This Warriors Serve initiative also aligns with our theme for the year, We Are So We Do, as our students and families responded to who we are in Christ by serving others with compassion and joy.
Our eighth grade students helped load up 25,743 donated items for the Houstonâs First Faith Centers today as we wrapped up this yearâs Warriors Serve Food Drive! As the culmination of our Known and Loved emphasis month, this food drive allowed students to focus on the truth that we are fully known and deeply loved by God, and the importance of knowing and loving others.
This Warriors Serve initiative also perfectly coincided with our school theme for the year, We Are So We Do, as our students and families served others with compassion and joy. Thank you to our students, families, faculty and staff for supporting this drive and those in our community!
