Theatre Under the Stars hosted the annual Tommy Tune Awards last night to honor and celebrate high school musical theatre in Greater Houston! Congratulations to our design winners!

It is National Nurse Day and it’s an honor to have Nurse Jordan on our campus every day❤️🎉❤️ She takes care of every student and teacher here. She is always smiling, always calm, and always ready to help ❤️👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻 We love you Nurse Jordan!! Thank you ❤️❤️

Today we have the incredible honor of welcoming a global icon, Carlos Vives, to our stage! ❤️🙌🏻🎉 Carlos Vives is a Grammy Award-winning artist who has helped bring Colombian music to the world. Carlos took the time to be with us, at HSPVA, connecting directly with our young artists ❤️❤️ He answered questions directly from our students, performed with our Jazz and Vocal department, and received a special Mariachi performance! We are very grateful and fortunate to have an artist of his impact and legacy to be in our space to support our student’s power of music, culture, and storytelling. 🎉🙌🏻🙏❤️

The show is free and open to the public at 5PM in the Denney followed by the night market for $7.00 under the bus ramp! Kick off your three-day weekend with us!

Out of more than 70,000 students who begin the TMEA audition process across Texas each year, fewer than 3% earn the honor of performing in an All-State ensemble after advancing through Region and Area rounds. We are beyond proud to celebrate our 19 All-State musicians who rose through this rigorous and highly competitive process. Their dedication, discipline, and artistry represent the very best of our campus and our state—congratulations on this extraordinary achievement! 🎶
