Infant and toddler sleep consulting I help parents teach their children the skills needed to develop healthy sleep habits and consolidate sleep.

I believe that healthy sleep habits make healthy children. Sleep promotes growth, increases attention spans, boosts learning, and beats germs. A well-rested child is curious, energetic, happy, playful, and eager to learn. When parents entrust me as their child’s “sleep guide,” either through one-on-one consultations or seminars, they are placing a great deal of trust in me, and I want to let you k

Let’s clear up a major sleep myth... ✨

There is a common misconception that “gentle” sleep training means you aren’t actually teaching your child the skill of independent sleep. Or worse, that providing support is an obstacle to their progress.

In my world, gentle is a philosophy, not a compromise. It means we respect your child’s emotional needs while simultaneously holding space for them to learn something new. 💕

Here is what “Gentle” looks like with Live Love Sleep®:

🌿 Physical Support: We don’t just walk away and hope for the best. You are right there to offer comfort, touch, and reassurance as your baby learns.
🌿 Emotional Connection: We prioritize the parent-child bond. Responding to your child’s needs and sleep training are not mutually exclusive!
🌿 Customized Pace: We move at a speed that feels sustainable for your family. There is no “one size fits all” when it comes to your heart.

Support isn’t a crutch. It’s the foundation that gives your child the confidence to eventually sleep independently. 🕊️

Feeling like a “human mattress” lately? 😴

If your little one only naps while being held, rocked, or walked in a carrier, please know you aren’t alone. And you aren’t doing anything “wrong.” You are being your child’s comfort! 💕

However, if you’re stuck in survival mode and ready to reclaim your nap time, it’s important to look past the “quick tips” and understand the foundation of restful sleep.

Here is what actually moves the needle:

✨ Breaking the Cycle: Moving away from carrier or motion-only habits starts with creating a consistent, soothing environment where your baby feels safe enough to let go.
✨ Mastering Sleep Pressure: Timing is everything! If your little one is under-tired or over-tired, they will fight the crib transition every single time.
✨ Following a Roadmap: Real change happens when you stop “winging it” and start following a step-by-step strategy that respects your child’s needs and your parenting style.

Understanding the “why” behind sleep is the first step toward a more peaceful home for everyone. 🏠💤

Which one are you struggling with most right now? Carrier naps, short crib stints, or the bedtime “transfer” battle? Let me know in the comments below! 👇

Ferber vs. CIO: Is there a middle ground? 🧐

Most Google searches will tell you these are your only two options. You either do “timed check-ins” or you “let them cry it out.”

But what if neither feels right for your heart? ❤️

In my private practice at Live Love Sleep®, I rarely use a “standard” version of either. While these methods are famous, they aren’t the only way to get a full night of rest.

I believe in gentler, more responsive strategies that prioritize your bond while still reaching those sleep goals.

In my blog today, I break down the pros and cons of the “big two,” but I’m also sharing why a customized, gentler approach might actually be the “sweet spot” your baby needs.

There is a special kind of silence that only parents of early risers know. You hear that first babble through the monitor, check the clock, and realize the sun isn’t even up yet.

If you’re stuck in a cycle of pre-dawn wake-ups, know this: It’s one of the most common sleep challenges, but it’s almost always fixable. It’s not that your baby “doesn’t need more sleep”. It’s usually just a sleep rhythm that needs a little professional shift.

I’m sharing exactly how I moved my own daughter’s wake time from 5:00 AM to a much more human hour, and how you can do the same.

Knowing when to put your baby down is half the battle.

And timing nap windows based on when you get your little one out of the crib (not when they first stir) is a game-changer for smoother days and better nights.

The key is consistency, aligned schedules help regulate your baby’s body clock and prevent overtiredness. And when you get this rhythm right?

✨ Naps stretch
✨ Bedtime gets easier
✨ Night wakings often improve too

If you’re staring at the clock every morning wondering, “Do I start counting from here… or here?” You’re not alone. And I made something to help 👇

Let’s talk about one of the biggest myths in baby sleep…

💭 “Sleeping through the night” doesn’t mean your baby never wakes up.

Every human — baby, toddler, or adult — wakes several times each night as we move through different sleep cycles. The difference is that adults know how to roll over, get comfortable, and drift back to sleep on our own.

For babies, that takes time and practice. When they rely on rocking, feeding, or being held to fall asleep, they need that same thing every time they wake…sometimes 5, 6, even 8 times a night. 🫠

If you’re there right now, bone-tired, sitting in the dark wondering what you’re missing, please hear me: you’re not doing anything wrong. You’re not failing. You just haven’t helped your baby learn how to connect those sleep cycles independently yet.

That’s what independent sleep really means…not perfection, not zero wake-ups, but peaceful, predictable nights where everyone gets the rest they need. 🌙

I’ve helped hundreds of families go from endless night wakings to quiet, restful evenings. And you can, too. 💛

If sleep still feels like a struggle, let’s chat. During a free Discovery Call, we’ll talk about what’s happening, why it’s happening, and what steps will help your baby (and you!) finally sleep through the night — for real.

👻 Halloween is pure childhood magic…costumes, candy, staying up a little too late. But for parents? It can mean overtired little ones and bedtime battles. 🎃

Here’s the truth: one late night won’t undo all your hard sleep work. What matters most is getting back to your routine the next day.

In my latest email, I shared my best tips for keeping things fun and restful…because you deserve to enjoy the night too. 💫

💤 Stick with your bedtime routine
🍬 Limit late-night sugar
💛 Get back on track the next day

You’ve got this! Save this post to revisit next Halloween. And tell me in the comments: what’s your child dressing up as this year? 🎭

Daylight Savings is sneaking up on us again ⏰🍂

And if you’ve ever feared those too-early mornings after the time change, you’re not alone!

Our kids’ internal clocks don’t switch as easily as ours do (and let’s be honest, ours struggle too 😅). The good news? You can make this transition smooth with the right prep and a few small adjustments.

In the full blog, I break down 3 simple options — whether you want to adjust gradually before, after, or “split the difference.” You’ll also find sample schedules for babies and toddlers so you can follow it day by day.

💛 Give yourself grace this week. Sleep might look a little messy for a few days, but your consistency always pays off.

Daycare naps can feel impossible — but I promise, your child can learn to sleep well there. 💛

For infants, success comes from:
👶 Clear communication with caregivers about nap timing + routines
👶 Bringing comfort items like a sleep sack or white noise
👶 Staying flexible and offering earlier bedtimes after short nap days

For toddlers, the focus shifts to:
👧 Talking positively about daycare naps at home
👧 Keeping bedtime and weekend routines consistent
👧 Partnering with teachers to use strategies that work at home too

Here’s the truth: naps at daycare will never be as perfect as naps at home — and that’s okay! What matters most is that your little one gets the rest they need across the day and night.

If daycare sleep has been a struggle for your family, you’re definitely not alone. Comment DAYCARE below ⬇️ and I’ll send you some extra strategies to help your child rest better.

😴 Night wakings can feel confusing and scary, especially when you’re not sure if your child is having a nightmare or a night terror. Let’s break it down 👇

🌙 Nightmares
These happen during lighter sleep, usually in the second half of the night. Your child wakes up scared, may remember the dream, and often seeks comfort.

😵 Night Terrors
These happen during deep sleep, usually within the first few hours of the night. Your child might scream, thrash, or look terrified. But they’re not truly awake and won’t remember it the next morning.

⚖️ The Difference
• Nightmares = your child is awake and needs reassurance
• Night terrors = your child is asleep and can’t be consoled in the moment

💡 How to Prevent Both

The biggest culprit? Overtiredness. When kids aren’t getting enough sleep or their bedtime is too late, their sleep becomes more fragmented, making both nightmares and night terrors more likely. A consistent, age-appropriate bedtime is your best prevention tool.

✨ If your child is experiencing night wakings and you’re not sure how to fix them, let’s talk. Click the link in my bio to schedule your free discovery call today, and we’ll create a plan for peaceful nights.
