The anticipation.
The double checking,
The drive or the flight,
The excitement,
The concern.
The unloading.
The unpacking.
The shopping for missed items and the ones you didn’t realize you needed .
The clothes hanging.
The room set-up.
The anticipation of the goodbye that’s inching closer.
The last bite to eat before you go.
The realization that it’s almost time to say goodbye.
The drop off.
The hug that keeps going.
The tears.
Just one more hug.
The goodbye.
Should I get out for one more hug?
The drive away,
The realization your baby is headed off for another year of college and she is going to be okay.
The excitement.
The grief.
The relief.
You did it.

She’s about to embark on another year of college.

You are going to miss her, but you also know it’s the right next step for her.

She is going to do more than okay.

She’s going to do great.
