Goslin Families,
To ensure the safety of all students and to keep our morning and afternoon traffic flow running smoothly, please review the reminders below:

Car riders cannot be dropped off or picked up at the walkers' gate.
That gate is designated ONLY for students who walk to and from school. Car riders must use the official car rider line.

Morning Drop-Off (opens at 6:40 AM):
The district will open the car rider gates at 6:40 AM, no earlier.
Parents must enter the driveway on Bayway closest to the church (see attached map).
Do NOT enter through the gate by the teacher parking lot.
Parents are not allowed to park in teacher parking spaces for drop-off.

Afternoon Pick-Up (opens at 2:30 PM):
The gate will reopen at 2:30 PM for the car rider pick-up line.
Please remain in your vehicle and follow staff directions to keep the line moving safely.

Student Expectations While Waiting:
Please remind your student to be alert and attentive while waiting for their ride. Many vehicles look similar, and students must watch carefully for their parent/guardian’s car to avoid delays and ensure a safe transition.

📣 MANDATORY CHEER PARENT MEETING Attention Goslin Families!

If your student is a current 6th or 7th-grader and is interested in becoming a cheerleader or mascot for the upcoming school year, please plan to attend our mandatory parent meeting.

This meeting is required for all interested students and their parent/guardian.

One of our own has been nominated for the Student Choice Awards! We are so proud of Ms. Brown and so grateful for everything she does for our students. Ms. Brown shared, “I don’t teach for recognition, but I’m incredibly thankful when a student takes the time to share something like this. It’s a reminder that the little moments in the classroom matter more than we realize!”

Our Goslins had an incredible week celebrating our NJHS Induction Ceremony, during which outstanding 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students were officially welcomed into this prestigious program. We are so proud of their hard work, leadership, and commitment to excellence!

A huge thank you to Ms. Brown and Mrs. Woodson for organizing such a meaningful event. Your dedication to our students shines in everything you do.

We also want to give a special shout-out to our faculty speakers, Mrs. Cuevas, Mrs. Dagenhart, Miss Dahlquist, and Mrs. Woodson, for sharing their heartfelt “why” for choosing education. Your stories continue to inspire our Goslins each day.

We were honored to welcome back Faith Cuevas-Meyer, Goslin alumni and current NHS member, and Jolacia Mackyeon, Sterling alumni and NHS member, who both shared powerful messages about why education matters and the impact of being part of NHS.
The ceremony was absolutely beautiful, a true celebration of leadership, character, scholarship, service, and citizenship.

Our 4th Annual Coffee & Convos Night was an absolute hit!
Thank you to our amazing parents for showing up, engaging in meaningful conversations, and partnering with us to support our Goslins. The energy in the building was incredible, so many great conversations happening at every table, and parents left with smiles on their faces!

A huge shout-out to our dedicated BJS teachers and TLCs (Ms. Brown- ELA, Mrs. Olivares- Math, Ms. Kraut- Social Studies, and Mrs. Simpson- Science) for preparing student data, welcoming families, and creating such a warm, collaborative atmosphere. Your hard work continues to make a lasting impact on our students and community.

Baytown Junior will be closed to ALL visitors, Thursday, February 26th as students take their Math Spring Benchmark!
-Please make sure your student’s iPad is fully charged.
-Please make sure your students arrive on time, so they do not interrupt the testing environment!
-Please ensure that your child gets plenty of sleep and eats a healthy breakfast to prepare for testing!
-Please note, our campus will be closed to ALL visitors (including lunch visitors, no lunch drop-offs).

Day 3 of Kindness Week = Teachers Felt the LOVE!

Our amazing BJS Crimestoppers treated our staff to an incredible 80’s-themed sweets and a fun Dirty Soda Station and it was totally rad!

From nostalgic treats to custom soda creations, our teachers had the best time enjoying a little mid-week pick-me-up. We are so grateful for our BJS Crimestoppers for going above and beyond to celebrate and appreciate our staff.

Kindness isn’t just for students, we love celebrating our teachers, too!

Day 2 of Kindness Dress Week was a HIT at BJS! ❤️🩷

Our Goslins showed up and showed out sporting red, pink, and hearts all across campus! It was amazing to see our hallways filled with kindness, positivity, and school spirit.
