Team Member Spotlight! Operations Manager, George is a native of Guatemala who came to America at the age of 12. George started leading worship at the age of 15 while he was learning how to play the piano. In high school band he began learning how to read music and supplemented his learning with private lessons. Upon entering the workforce after highschool, he decided to study music at a local community college where he studied performance and music theory. During this time, George fell in love with the technical side of music and began to explore music production, recording, and mixing.
George joined various music schools where he began teaching piano lessons, including music theory and ensemble and realized he had a passion for teaching. While continuing to lead worship at various churches, George began incorporating various technologies in the church to improve the efficiency of the music team. He used tools like Planning Center Online, Proclaim, Pro Presenter, NDI, Easy Worship, Ableton, Protools, Chauvet Express, FL Studio, and finally settled on his DAW of choice, Studio One.
George established processes and procedures for various churches, immediately improving the music development process and implementing audiovisual systems, live streaming, audio engineering, and lighting. George is also proficient at MIDI. George’s passion is to teach others about music production, marketing, management, and systems.
