Meet Sreekar Peddada and Rishik Tanwani, high school LEAD (Leadership Education and Development) students from the Sewa International Los Angeles chapter, who are proving that passion and purpose go hand in hand.
📚 Both excel academically and shine in sports. Sreekar is a senior and part of his school’s water polo and swim teams, while Rishik, a junior, represents his school in tennis.
💡 Inspired by the power of education and their families’ immigrant journeys, they set out to make a difference. Together, they rallied donations from friends and family, sold cookies at SEWA events to support their campaign for the Sponsor A Child https://sac.sewausa.org/ program. Their dedication paid off, raising $1,440, which is enough to sponsor the education of four children in India.

Anubhuthi 2025, our residential camp at Agastya International Foundation, Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh in May was super successful. Over six days, 80 bright young minds from six states immersed themselves in hands-on STEM activities, design thinking workshops, and nature-based learning.
Join our students, teachers, and volunteers as they:
· Collaborate on problem statements
· Sketch rapid ideas with sticky notes and markers
· Build quick prototypes
· Joyfully scream an excited "yes!" moments when a simple idea clicks
