The Yazidi Survivor Project
This page has been set up to help raise awareness about the ongoing persecution of the Yazidi people by Daesh (ISIS) and raise funds for Yazda.
On the 3rd of August 2014 Daesh (ISIS) attacked and captured the city of Sinjar and neighbouring towns in Northern Iraq, mainly inhabited by Yazidis. It is estimated that up to 5000 Yazidi men were executed within hours, women and children captured. Thousands escaped and fled to Mount Sinjar where they faced slaughter at the Hands of Daesh who surrounded the mountain, if they left and dehydration,
