Alief ISD is a high performing, comprehensive K-12 public school district. Mr. Joe Dumbrowski was assigned to be the first principal of Owens Intermediate. Mrs.
Owens Intermediate School opened in August 1994 as the first intermediate school in the Alief school district. Anne Malone took over this position in 1996 followed by Mr. Amador Velasquez in 2003. 2014 Owens greeted Dr. Lorena Augustus as the principal. Owens was named for L.C.
