Where can you find SAFE International?
Another ground defence clip from our recent SAFE International Core Curriculum Certification. When arms are pinned you have to talk. Trying to out muscle a stronger attacker is a waste of energy. You want your attacker to let go of a limb but your response must be instantaneous attacking vulnerable targets putting attacker on defensive. Any hesitation drastically reduces your chances of survival. Anything other than gross motor reactions will not work in this chaotic and violent a moment.
Very often when teaching our self defense courses we hear something like,
"I never realized how cerebral self defense really is, I thought it was much more about the physical skills".
So if a course gives lip service to the cerebral side of self defense, either they are not teaching self defense or they are teaching an incomplete self defense course.
