Don and Johanna Russell have been teaching music for nearly 2 decades and have an extensive background in live performance with some of Houston's most well known bands! Don Russell has had extensive experiencing playing
in bands for over 30 years. He has played guitar
and bass for several rock bands over the years
including the Houston acclaimed rock/funk band
Small Craft Advisory. She began in
th

e world of musical theater and moved on to the live
music venue. She has sung in
lounge/exotica band, Clouseaux and rock band, The
Ne Plus Ultra. Johanna also has been playing piano since a young child. She has been teaching kids to play for nearly 2 decades. She specializes in teaching according to the learning styles of the student. Don and Johanna currently enjoy co writing music
for electronic band, The Blue Sputnik. Some of our
musical tracks have been played as background
music for several television shows including The
David Blane Show, The Wild Within, E Entertainment
television, and Current TV. We have had the pleasure
to play live all over Houston and have been featured
on Fox 26 News several times. Its been a fun ride and now we want to help and
coach up-coming young musicians.
