Today, May 15th, is the last day to help your student's school win an end of year party with the Astros Foundation and Reliant!

The Houston Astros Foundation and Reliant have partnered together for the 5th year in a row to stop the “summer slide” that happens too often for our elementary students. We are excited to kick off our SLIDE INTO SUMMER READING program and we invite you to register your student(s) to become a RELIANT READER for this upcoming summer.

To raise awareness and kick-off this summer’s program, we are offering local elementary schools the chance to win a SLIDE INTO SUMMER READING PARTY by registering the most readers between May 1st and May 15th. The school with the most registered students will win a party with Orbit from the Astros, Hugo from Reliant, the Shooting Stars and Shuttle Crew, plus, books, backpacks & prizes for each student in attendance. Two Slide Into Summer Reading Parties will be held the during the end of May for the top (1) large private/public/charter and (1) small-medium private/public/charter school.

Before Teacher Appreciation Week begins on Monday, we wanted to highlight that Herod PTO has been working behind the scenes throughout the year to appreciate all of our amazing staff at Herod!
