Alief ISD is a high performing, comprehensive K-12 public school district. David Outley, Sr. Mr. On August 16, 1993, students at David Outley, Sr.
pioneered the education of African-American children in the small town of Alief, Texas. He was responsible for the opening of a one-room schoolhouse approximately 70 years ago. Outley's commitment to education convinced the Alief ISD Board of Trustees to name our wonderful elementary school in his honor. Outley's philosophy and vision are as relevant for Alief students today as they were for Alief
