Please can we stop telling mothers that they’re “spoiling” their little ones by “holding them too much” and that they should stop being so responsive to their every needs. Attachment is essential to our littles long term emotional health. Building a healthy attachment will help our children handle situations as they grow older, such as separating from us, playing together with other children and developing self control. It also helps to teach our littles how to trust other people. To the mama reading this, our littles grow so fast. If you want to hold your little one, then do it! We had a great bike ride after the sun came out. The kids are now doing Dambe with Baba JaMaymon. Dambe is a martial arts style from the Hausa people of Nigeria.
