MEET OUR CO-FOUNDERS!
David Garner is an educator, entrepreneur, and organizational leader whose career spans both business and education. Before entering school leadership, David built and led ventures in the private sector, developing a strong foundation in operations, finance, strategic planning, and organizational growth. This early entrepreneurial experience continues to shape his approach to school design, sustainability, and long-term impact.
Since transitioning into education, David has served in senior leadership roles, including Head of School, guiding organizations through growth, change, and financial complexity. At Xavier Academy in Houston, he has led with transparency and steadiness while strengthening academic programs, faculty culture, and operational systems. His leadership is grounded in the belief that strong institutions require both moral clarity and operational discipline.
David is currently a doctoral candidate at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College, where his research focuses on executive functioning and self-regulated learning in adolescent education. His work bridges research and practice, translating developmental science into school models that intentionally support how students learn, regulate themselves, and grow over time.
Endeavor Preparatory School represents the next chapter of David’s professional journey. As Co-Founder and prospective Head of School, he is working with partners to launch a grades 6–12 school designed from the ground up to integrate rigorous academics, wellness, physical development, and character formation into a coherent, relationship-centered model. Endeavor Prep is being built not as a reaction to trends, but as a thoughtful response to the real developmental needs of adolescents.
David believes that enduring schools are built through partnership. He sees philanthropy not simply as funding, but as shared stewardship of an institution meant to serve students, families, and the broader Houston community for generations to come.
