Please allow us to introduce Marcus Nguyen, one of Duc Dinh Center’s outstanding students, who graduated ranked 4th out of 552 students and in the top 1% of his class at George Ranch High School.

Marcus joined Duc Dinh Center at the end of 5th grade after his family relocated from Oklahoma to Houston. Through years of dedication in our Summer and Saturday programs, Marcus quickly began to thrive both academically and personally. His journey serves as a powerful reminder that students do not need to attend elite private schools or nationally recognized schools to achieve extraordinary success. With determination, discipline, and the right guidance from mentors such as Mr. Duc Dinh, Duy Tran, and the team at Duc Dinh Center, admission opportunities to universities like Harvard, Stanford, Cornell, and many other top institutions are absolutely within reach.

Marcus graduated high school after completing 14 AP courses, earning mostly scores of 5 and several 4’s on the official AP Exams. He was also recognized as an AP Scholar with Distinction for his outstanding academic performance.

His accomplishments extend far beyond the classroom. Marcus earned the title of DECA State Champion, achieved success in UIL Math, and was recognized by Lamar Consolidated Independent School District for his exceptional community service through the lion dance team that he founded.

Marcus also demonstrated outstanding leadership and initiative through many organizations and activities, including:

In addition, Marcus displayed remarkable entrepreneurial spirit by operating his own barbering business and personal tutoring business while still in high school. He also gained valuable professional experience as an intern at a financial advisory corporation.

We are incredibly proud of Marcus and all that he has accomplished. His journey reflects the values of perseverance, hard work, leadership, and excellence that continue to define Duc Dinh Center students year after year.

After receiving acceptance letters from Harvard University, Stanford University, Cornell University, the University of Virginia, the University of Texas at Austin, the University of Notre Dame, and many other prestigious institutions, Marcus chose to attend Stanford University on a full scholarship, majoring in Economics and Computer Science.

The SAT class at Duc Dinh Center is unlike any other SAT program available today. From day one, we carefully analyzed every weakness we found in other SAT classes on the market and built our curriculum to address those missing elements. At the same time, we thoroughly dissected the SAT itself to fully understand its structure, allowing us to develop a program specifically designed to master and outperform the exam.

Every summer at Duc Dinh Center brings a new story.

Some students begin the summer shy, struggling with assignments, and/or lacking confidence… yet after just one summer, the growth is remarkable. Some overcome their own limits, some achieve high scores for the very first time, and others understands why they have to do well in schools. For many, it becomes the beginning of a journey toward becoming National Merit Scholars, Ivy League admission recipient, or recipients of full scholarships in the years ahead.

Nineteen summers have passed.
Many students who once attended the Duc Dinh Center education programs are now doctors, engineers, dentists, lawyers, financier, business professionals, and leaders in their fields.

But the most meaningful part is not only the achievements — it is the transformation each student experiences after the challenging curriculum every summer.
Small daily improvements, stronger study habits, growing confidence, and steady progress eventually lead to extraordinary results.

And this 2026 summer, a new story begins once again.
