FYI: New Policy- Advanced Reservations

Please be advised that reservations for volunteer events will now only be accepted the week prior to the event. I will continue to send out an email the week prior to the service opportunity and you will need to email me directly confirming your participation during this time frame. This new policy will simplify scheduling and ensure every member has a reserved seat in the van. As always, please contact me immediately if you need to cancel your reservation. This will allow another member to serve in your place.

Please email [email protected] for documents to record all of your Service Learning hours. You are welcomed to have your hours from past semesters recorded also. This needs to be done by March 28 in order to be eligible to be recognize at Presidential Honors Day. Thank you !

Have a great Spring 2013 Semester !!

Our upcoming event:

Rotaract Workday on Tuesday, October 30th, from 3:00 p.m.- 4:30 p.m.

The purpose of this workday will be to write letters to local theaters, sports venues, museums etc. requesting complimentary tickets for the clients at the Houston Women and Children’s shelters. If you would like to participate in this important event, please email me at [email protected] or "comment/like" this post.

Date: Tuesday, October 30th
Time: 3:00- 4:30 p.m.
Place: ATC 351 classroom

Our third event is Saturday, September 29th.

Habitat for Humanity from 7:00 - 1:00 p.m.

We will help build a house.

Our second event is today, September 18th.

Green Acres Nursing Home from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m.

We will be hosting a bingo game with prizes for the elderly.

Our first event is this Saturday, September 15th !

Puppy Dogs R Us from 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.

We will be involved in an adoption event for homeless dogs and cats in Liberty.

We hope all our members are having a great summer so far ! Remember that any volunteer work that you do can be put towards your Service Learning hours ! So be sure to rack those hours up for these awesome awards !

Had a great dinner and got to talk about Summer plans! Stay tuned for another meet @ Cheddar's in Baytown, Tx later on! Post on here, members, if you do any volunteering during the Summer--it's a record for your Service Learning hours and we get to know of great places to give service in the Fall!

So far two are on board to meeting at Cheddar's in Baytown! Come by Rotaractors! Let us hear about plans for the summer and any other ideas of places to volunteer for the summer and fall. We can also give a quick run down on SGA budget and T-shirts!
