Over the past two days, we welcomed our newest pups to Lanier for Pup Prep, our first event of the 2026–2027 school year!

Our incoming 6th graders explored campus, met new friends, and got a preview of middle school life.

A huge shoutout to our incredible 8th Grade Student Leaders for making every new pup feel welcome, and to our amazing Lanier Cheerleaders for bringing the energy and giving students and families an unforgettable welcome!

To our newest pups—we loved having you on campus these past two days and can't wait to officially welcome you back to join the Pack! The countdown to the first day of school is on! ❤️💜

Today, we kicked off Leadership Camp with our incredible incoming 8th grade student leaders, and it was wonderful to see our campus filled with energy, excitement, and Purple Pup pride once again!

Throughout the day, our student leaders collaborated, built leadership skills, and prepared to welcome our newest Purple Pups for the 2026–2027 school year. We are so proud of these students for stepping up to serve as role models and ambassadors for our school community.

The countdown to the first day of school is officially on—we can't wait to welcome everyone back to Lanier! 💜❤️

All Lanier uniform tops must be purchased through the PTO Uniform Store.

Reminder: The PTO Uniform Store does not accept cash. Please pre-order online or bring a credit/debit card if shopping in person.

👕💜 Purple Pups, It's Time to Gear Up! 🐾

As we prepare for an amazing 2026–2027 school year, please take a moment to review Lanier Middle School's Uniform Policy to ensure your student is ready for the first day of school.

A few important reminders:
✅ All students are expected to wear the Lanier uniform in accordance with the campus dress code.
✅ Lanier polos, t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, and other approved uniform tops must be purchased through the Lanier PTO Spirit Store.
✅ Student planners are also available for purchase through the PTO Store.

🎒 Students may carry one personal bag during the school day that is no larger than 14" × 18" (a drawstring bag is recommended). All backpacks, sports bags, and larger bags must be stored in the student's locker from 8:20 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

✏️The HISD Family Back-to-School Bash is happening Saturday, August 1, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Delmar Fieldhouse (2020 Mangum Rd).

🎒Families attending the HISD Family Back-to-School Bash can collect free backpacks, school supplies, and receive routine health screenings. Staff from Enrollment, Transportation, Nutrition Services, and School Choice will be available to answer questions.
