At Van Houston Academy, we believe some of life's best lessons happen outside the classroom.

Throughout the school year, our students enjoy exciting field trips to museums, science centers, cultural attractions, and other fun destinations that bring learning to life. Every trip is carefully planned to include meaningful academic experiences, making each adventure both engaging and educational.

For our high school students, we go a step further by visiting colleges and universities across Houston and surrounding cities.

These campus tours give students the opportunity to explore different college environments, learn about academic programs, meet with university representatives, and begin envisioning their future after high school.

Seeing college campuses firsthand helps our students better understand what to expect, set meaningful goals, and prepare confidently for the next chapter of their academic journey.

Shahah has been accepted to both the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and the University of Southern California (USC), where she plans to pursue her passion for Biology. This remarkable achievement reflects years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance.

When reflecting on her college application journey, Shahah shared that one of the most important parts of the process was writing her college essay.
