A HUGE thank you to Lamar Educational Awards Foundation (L.E.A.F.) for funding an unforgettable Crocodile Encounter!
Our Falcons got up close and personal with amazing reptiles, learned how each one plays a vital role in our ecosystem 🌎💚 — and the BIG bonus… they even got to pet a Nile Crocodile! 😲🙌
Now that’s learning they’ll never forget! 🦅📚

Thanks to Lamar Educational Awards Foundation (L.E.A.F.) for granting our LEAF Grant for Science on the Go from Houston Museum of Natural Science! Today our students were engaged in an inactive Cool Chemistry presentation! 🧪🔎🫧 It was a GREAT day to be a Falcon!

📚 Great 2 weeks in the library! Our English 4 students jumped into our databases and how they shape the way information is stored and used.
We also sharpened our skills in citing sources—because good research deserves solid credit. 🎯
To keep everything organized, we practiced digital note‑taking, which made the whole workflow smoother and way more efficient. 📝

Our students were diving into new worlds, heard stories straight from the creators, and celebrated the power of reading aloud to connect, inspire, and spark imagination. 🔊📖💡

After reading The Queen of Cool, Book Club visited the Houston Museum of Natural Science! They experienced Extreme Animals, the Call of the Dolphins and many more exhibits. They had a scavenger hunt to complete while there and there was some strong competition! It was a great day to be a FHS Book Club participant! Thankful to experience this with these amazing kids!
