Today we commemorate World Autism Awareness Day 💙
This day was proclaimed in 2007 by the United Nations General Assembly with the aim of raising visibility, fostering understanding, and promoting the inclusion of people on the autism spectrum in all areas of society.
Autism is not a disease that needs to be “corrected”; it is a unique way of perceiving, feeling, and experiencing the world. Behind every diagnosis lies a story, a family, immense strength, and a special way of viewing life.
To all families—especially the moms and dads walking this path: you are doing a wonderful job. Your love, patience, and dedication serve as a bridge toward a more understanding and humane world.
Today, more than ever, let us remember that true inclusion is born of respect, empathy, and education.
💙 Different does not mean less.
💙 Understanding is the first step toward inclusion.
