Isaiah 1:17 “Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause.”
It doesn’t matter what race, color, tribe, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation you are, now is the right time to do what’s right.
It doesn’t matter what country or continent you live in, now is this time to do what’s just.
Stand with us & declare that BLACK LIVES MATTER because
“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly”.
Martin Luther King Jr

SHARE/REPOST FOR JUSTICE & A BETTER AMERICA - Last night I watched a horrific video & I broke down in tears. It was a video of a white cop who used his knee to pin a black man down on his neck which led to his death. I’m so angry & heartbroken about this. It makes me so sick that black people are still being treated as animals & slaughtered while you continue to keep quiet. .
I know sometimes it’s hard to know what to do & other times you hear so much about racism that you start getting numb to it but this isn’t normal. This is evil & traumatizing. Also, this is not just a black peoples problem, but everyone’s problem.
What has happened to your humanity? The 2 greatest commandments we have is to Love God & Love our neigbor like ourselves. And the way to love is to serve, to give, to help, to speak up & advocate for people. If you cannot speak up for the oppressed, the marginalized, the less privileged in your community then what are you hear for?
God did not give you life, a platform, an opportunity or place in this world to just occupy space & look cute. You are here to use what you’ve been given to change things. So are you doing your part? Your silence is so loud & indirectly killing people. .
Today I’m pleading with you, no matter what color or race you are, never get comfortable with any type of discrimination because every life is valuable. Please take a stand today & speak up. Repost & share George’s story, demand justice & fight for change so his death can mean something more. .

SKINCARE IS SELF CARE - True beauty comes from deep within & radiates out but you also have one body & you have to take good care of it.
As someone who has very sensitive skin, I’m very careful with the products I use on my body but I never have to worry about using lotion with cocoa butter. It helps me stay moisturized & glowed you. What’s your go to body lotion/oil/butter?

MONEY & MINDSET MONDAY - Money is such an important resource for living but it’s a topic that most families shy away from, people get uncomfortable about & schools don’t also teach enough about. Why is that?
On my own journey to develop a healthier relationship with money, I realized that a lot of us grew up with certain narratives, misconceptions & even lies about making, managing & using money, which led to us having limiting mindset about money & poor money habits. What are some of those things you heard about money that influenced you? Comment Below 👇🏽

BLACK MATERNAL HEALTH WEEK PART 2/2 - My journey to motherhood had so many bumps & huddles to get through at ever phase. The 3 biggest moments I remember vividly that I had to speak up to advocate for myself was
1. After my egg retrieval during my IVF treatment, I was in excruciating pain to the point I couldn’t eat, drink, get out of bed or even breathe well. I had to call to demand a different pain medication that wasn’t part of the protocol.
2. As I got into the 3rd trimester of my pregnancy I started having a lot of swelling. Since my blood pressures were normal, it wasn’t a concern for my OB/GYN but by 37 weeks it was worse. I had severe pitting edema from my feet to my hips & lower abdomen so I called by OBGYN who then ordered a urine test. The result came back that I had Pre-Clampsia and I was asked to check into the hospital for induction.
3. In the hospital the tried inducing me with Cytotec first and later Pitocin on & off for several hours but every time I had a contraction or even repositioned my body, there would be fetal distress & his heart rate would drop so low. After going through this multiple times, my spirit spoke to me to ask for a C-section to avoid any complications with my son. So, I spoke to my nurse & then my OB/GYN on my decision & I was scheduled for a C-section. After my surgery, my OB/GYN came over to me & said “Great job Mom! I’m glad you insisted on a C-section because your instincts were right. His umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck the whole time & he couldn’t move”.
So ladies, learn to trust your intuition. Your feelings are valid. Speak Up!
