Try focusing on these things during your Fundamental Time:

*The Sound: Ensure a characteristic sound from all players and sections to create that great Texas Band Sound!

*Fingers & Articulation: Coordinate articulation with your technique exercises.

*The Brain: Connect the playing skills to ensemble listening and notation reading.

There are many ways to do this successfully, but remember, don't just warm-up - use fundamental time to build skills from minute one. Keep building these skills each day!
