Here’s the May calendar for Houston Black Hikers! 🌿🥾Spring is in full swing and we’re hitting the trails all month long — come join us for a hike one weekend and get some sunshine on your skin! ☀️If you’re attending the Campout Experience (May 23–25) ⛺🔥I highly encourage you to come vibe with us before then — build community, break in those boots, and get a taste of the energy we’re bringing to camp!And don’t forget: May 31st is FIELD DAY! 🏃🏽‍♀️🧺🎯Yes, it’s kid-friendly. This past weekend, after serving our community 🤝🏽❤️, we hit a solid 3.6 mile hike-walk 🥾🌳, AND pulled up on the elephants at Hermann Park like some eco-conscious explorers 🐘👣.

Now listen… Houston Black Hikers been outside since January 2025 📅, and some of y’all STILL haven’t touched grass 🧐🌱. Not even once!

Meanwhile, my guy Dre from South Carolina ✈️➡️ found our Houston Tribe, booked an Uber from PORTER 🚗, and showed up like it was nothing 🔥.

That’s dedication. That’s tribe energy. That’s “outside ain’t gone hike itself” energy ⚡️🫶🏽.

So if Dre can Uber from Porter just to see some trees and vibes… what’s your excuse? 👀

🌟 Community Spotlight! 🌟The HYPPE Development Center is thrilled to partner with Bread of Life for our Food Distribution event, serving families in need right here in Houston! Together, we had the honor of distributing essential food and resources to over 100 cars, supporting those who need it most. This collaboration is a powerful example of what we can achieve when we come together to uplift our community. Thank you to all the volunteers and supporters who made this possible. Let’s keep working to make a difference! 💙
