Embarking on my journey in Medical Sales was not just about finding a job - it was about making a difference in people's lives. My passion for helping patients gain

access to life-changing medications and treatments has been the driving force behind my 22-year career in the Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, and Biotech industry. Imagine stepping into a role where the more patients that you help, your commission checks GROW. Throughout my career, I have honed my skills in Territory Management, Sales Training, Patient Access, Sales Management, Team Leadership, Hospital Account Management, and Marketing. Starting at CollaGenex, where I achieved back-to-back President’s Club awards, to my current role at Biogen as part of the Rare Disease Team, each step has been guided by a relentless dedication to making a positive IMPACT. A significant milestone in my career was my time at Allergan, where I started as a Territory Manager on the Dermatology Botox Team in 2005. Winning accolades such as “Rookie of the Year” and “Territory Manager of the Year,” I also completed my MBA at Texas A&M University in 2011 while continuing to deliver exceptional results in sales and team leadership. My journey at Allergan took me through various roles such as Regional Training Manager and Area Sales Manager before landing on an elite team of Hospital Account Managers handling complex accounts like DoD, VA, IDNs, and Academic Medical Centers. It was here that I truly understood the importance of collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the care they deserve. In 2016, I was promoted to the Botox Practice Specialist Team. In this role, my time was spent assisting clinics with access to Botox. Once on Botox, implemented tools and strategies for patients to remain on treatment. At Biogen, I have the privilege of serving as a Rare Disease Account Manager, focusing on supporting patients affected by spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). As the founder of Med Rep College, I'm dedicated to helping individuals ENTER Medical Sales in 90 Days by:

1. Ace their Med Rep Interviews

If ChatGPT could land you a pharma sales career, you’d be hired by now.

Allison sold cars at Toyota.
She worked 60 hours a week.
Made money…but wasn’t fulfilled.

Great with people.
Professional + Gritty.
4-year marketing degree.

Allison told me,
“Jebb, I like my job… but I want more.”

25 applications.
25 rejections.
4 months gone.

She needed access.
So we built her a strategy.
A game plan that helped her stand out.

At her Takeda interview, she showed up prepared.
↳ Confident.
↳ Clear.
↳ In control.

She treated the interview like a sales call…
because that’s exactly what it is.

Here’s how Allison entered Pharmaceutical Sales:

➨ Translated her retail sales experience.
➨ Positioned herself for the right roles.
➨ Spoke the manager’s language.
➨ Sold the solution: HER.
➨ Overcame objections.
➨ Closed for the job.
➨ Negotiated her offer.

Allison didn’t have B2B experience.
She didn’t have a clinical background.
She didn’t know the lingo.

But she had access + strategy + momentum
↳ And 67 days later, she texted me:

“Coach Jebb… I GOT THE JOB.”

This is what happens when you stop behaving like a job seeker and become the candidate hiring managers fight to hire.

So let me ask you something…
Is your ChatGPT interview plan working?

The fastest way to disappear in a pharma sales interview?

Sound like everyone else.

You’ve done the research…

➟ Google says prepare for these questions.
➟ Reddit says use STAR.
➟ ChatGPT gives you 25 interview answers.

You memorize the information.

And you walk out of the interview thinking:
“Why did the manager ask me that?”

Then you spend the next 24 hours replaying the answer.
That is the real problem.

Information overload has created a generation of candidates who know the buzzwords, but don’t understand why the hiring manager is asking.

Whether you’re coming from Retail, B2B, or B2C sales, you know how to sell.

Stop collecting generic information.
Start understanding what makes a hiring manager say, “hire them.”

Six-figure offers don’t come from better buzzwords.
They come from translating your experience into exactly what the hiring manager needs to see, hear, and believe.

That’s how you become the candidate they remember.
That’s the transformation behind the $100K Med Rep Method.

Access + Strategy + Momentum = Hired

Not because someone gave me a formula.
Because my environment changed.

Who are you spending the most time with right now?

#2

“80% of kids raised in a single parent household will live below the poverty line.”

A sociology professor said that to me freshman year of college.
Scared the hell out of me.

Because deep down she was talking to me.
That day I made a decision.

Excuses or success.
I can’t have both.

In high school I ran with the wrong crowd.
Guys getting arrested.
Guys getting shot.

I thought that was normal.
Because that was my environment.

When I got to college…
I started spending time with people who were older, sharper, more ambitious.

People doing what I wanted to do.
That single shift changed the entire trajectory of my life.

That’s how I was introduced to pharmaceutical sales.
And I still use the same principle today.

➟ New company? I find the top performers.
➟ Learn tennis? I spent time with tennis players.
➟ Become a people leader? Surrounded myself with managers.
➟ Understand how wealthy people think? I moved into a wealthy neighborhood.

Yes, it was the cheapest house on the block.
Didn’t matter. I was around the right people.

My decisions changed.
My mindset changed.
My behaviors changed.

Not because someone handed me a formula.
Because my environment changed.

If your goal is to enter pharmaceutical sales, who are you spending the most time with right now?

The fastest way to get ignored in pharmaceutical sales?

Become really good at applying.

I see candidates spending weeks:

⇢ Applying to dozens of jobs.
⇢ Rewriting the same resume.
⇢ Waiting for recruiters to respond.
⇢ Preparing for interviews the wrong way.

They are working hard.
But they are not necessarily moving forward.

Here’s what hiring managers are looking for.
↳ Results.

We want to see how you think, communicate, solve problems, build relationships, and create value.

That requires more than an application.
That requires more than ChatGPT.

It requires positioning.
It requires access.

It requires a strategy that connects your experience to what the hiring manager needs on their team.

Your education and professional background hold the evidence
The problem is that hiring managers don’t see it yet.

That is the transformation.

↓↓↓

From guessing ⇢ knowing.
From applicant ⇢ candidate.
From overlooked ⇢ hired.

You don’t need to apply to more jobs faster.
You need a strategy that moves you closer to the right pharma sales role.

Are you applying everywhere or taking the right steps toward your career?

Pharmaceutical sales reps who keep getting promoted and recruited understand this:

Your reputation compounds.

It’s not built in one great call or one lunch presentation.
And it’s not built overnight.

It’s built in patterns.

Do you show up prepared?
Do you follow up when you say you will?
Do you respect the office’s time?

Physician offices see a lot of sales reps.

What they remember isn’t usually the best pitch, it’s the reps who are consistent.

The ones who are reliable.
The ones who are easy to work with.
The ones who bring value on every sales call.

Early on, I thought success came from big moments.
Over time I realized it comes from small actions repeated over months and years.

In pharmaceutical sales, reputation compounds.
And once it’s built, it works for you long after you leave the office.

“I thought hard work alone would get me the promotion.”

That’s a common misbelief in pharmaceutical sales.

Your boss already knows you can sell.
That’s why “work harder” is terrible promotion advice.

If you’re working as a pharmaceutical sales rep waiting for someone to notice you’re ready for specialty, injectables, hospital sales, reimbursment, or key accounts…stop waiting.

Start making yourself impossible to overlook.
Yes, continue to…

➨ Crush your numbers.
➨ Earn positive annual reviews.

This is what I’ve learned:
Hard work doesn’t automatically get you recognized for the next level.

↓↓↓

Take ownership of a project nobody wants.
Volunteer for a pilot or special assignment.
Ask your manager, “What can I take off your plate?”

Build relationships with Market Access, Training, Marketing, or other teams outside your territory.

Track what you’re learning.
Then make sure leadership knows how you’re applying it.

Because your results are evidence.
Your visibility is positioning.

➨ The reps who get promoted are the ones already behaving like the person they want to become.

Don’t wait to be discovered.
Build the case for your promotion.

How do you prove that you are ready for more responsibility?

How to get into pharma sales with no experience.

08/12/2026

In your medical sales career, you can make a lot of money.

But “a lot of money” is a terrible financial plan.

On Wednesday, August 26, the Houston Lobby is hosting a networking event built around this topic:

Million Dollar Med Rep: Compensation, Commission, Wealth Building, & Financial Freedom

📍 Spaghetti Western
1608 Shepherd Dr
Houston, TX 77007

Aspiring reps. Current reps.
Anyone tired of guessing with their money.

We’ll explore financial questions around: device, pharma, diagnostics, biotech, capital, and dental.

★ Compensation plans…who makes the most $$?
★ W-2 or 1099, which is better?
★ 401(k), RSUs, ESPPs, stock options?
★ Which career is the safest?
★ How do you keep more of what you earn?

And the question underneath all of it…
Are you building wealth, or are you upgrading your lifestyle one commission check at a time?

Earning $150K is one thing.
Knowing how to build wealth from it is another.

At what age do you want to become a millionaire?

You got rejected from a pharma sales job.

That does NOT mean you failed the interview.

Read that again.

I’ve failed calculus.
I’ve failed a driving test.
I’ve failed an eye exam.

But a pharma interview isn’t a test you either pass or fail.

It’s a conversation between two professionals trying to answer two different questions.

The hiring manager is asking:

“Can I trust this person with my territory?”

And you’re asking:

“Can I see myself building my career here?”

So when you hear:

“Thanks, but we’ve decided to move forward with another candidate…”

Don’t immediately ask:
“What’s wrong with me?”

Ask:
“What did this interview teach me?”

Maybe your story wasn’t strong enough.

Maybe you didn’t demonstrate enough commercial thinking.

Maybe you weren’t prepared for the hiring manager’s questions.

Maybe another candidate simply had a stronger fit that day.

That doesn’t make you a failure.

It makes you a candidate who has more information than you had before the interview.

Every interview gives you one of two things:
An offer or a lesson.

And sometimes the lesson is what gets you ready for the offer you really wanted.
What did your last pharma or medical sales interview teach you about yourself?

08/11/2026

Six months into pharmaceutical sales, I almost quit.

I was drowning…

Becoming a product expert.
Getting lost in the territory.
Hoping to hit quota.

My first manager pulled me aside after a rough quarter and said something I never forgot.

“Jebb, stop overcomplicating this. Keep it simple.”

That’s the KISS Principle.
Born with U.S. Navy engineers in the 1960s. Still true today.

I used it to win 19 President’s Club awards.
Here’s how:

★ The BASICS
↳ Show up prepared.
↳ Ask better questions.
↳ Handle objections calmly.
↳ Ask for specific utilization.
↳ Follow up.

★ The PRIORITIES
↳ Patients first, always.
↳ New business over busywork.
↳ Protect your time with customers.
↳ Grow accounts you already have.

★ Ask for HELP
↳ Lean on your team.
↳ Bring home office staff into the field.
↳ Surround yourself with top performers.

★ Cut the CLUTTER
↳ Doesn’t help my family? Gone.
↳ Doesn’t help my growth? Delete.
↳ Doesn’t help my territory? Eliminate.

Simple isn’t easy.
But it works.

What’s one thing in your territory you’re overcomplicating right now?
