🔴⚫️🤖Huge congratulations to the Porter High School BEST Robotics Team!

Sponsored by George Dowdy, Autumn Dowdy, Craig Maddux, and led by a group of talented and driven students, the Spartans placed 3rd at the State UIL BEST Robotics Championship! 🥉⚫️🔴

This year’s UIL Robotics State Championship in the BEST Division brought together top robotics teams from across Texas to compete in a rigorous STEAM challenge where students design, build, and program robots to complete complex tasks while also showcasing their engineering process, marketing presentations, and teamwork. UIL Robotics is an official academic competition that gives students hands-on experience in real-world problem solving and STEM career preparation.

Placing third in state means the Spartans were among the very best in Texas, demonstrating excellence in innovation, strategy, robot design, and collaboration. 🎯🤝 Their achievement reflects countless hours of dedication, creativity, and persistence throughout the season.

Shoutout to the incredible PHS Culinary students for earning their Food Handlers Certification! 👏🍳 Your hard work, skill, and dedication continue to shine. So proud of you all—keep cooking up greatness! 🔥👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

✨️ WFHS Advanced Culinary students prepared and served food for the NCISD Transportation Department Director, Barbara Rendon’s retirement party today! 👏🎉

They created a beautiful charcuterie table, baked two 1/2 sheet cakes, crafted 100 strawberry cheesecake cups, and prepared 750 hors d’oeuvres. 🍓🧀🍰

Everything was AMAZING and the students had so much fun celebrating this special moment! 💛👩‍🍳🧑‍🍳

What an incredible day of learning for our Junior FFA members! Yesterday, we had the profound pleasure of hosting the Texas State FFA Officers in our district! 🤝

The State Officers spent the morning inspiring our students at the NCISD Agricultural Science Center. They delivered fantastic motivational speeches and led impactful workshops, sharing their passion and expertise on vital subjects like leadership, time management, and personal growth. 💫

Students from our middle schools were bussed over, giving them a memorable opportunity to connect with these outstanding State Officers. The energy and inspiration shared yesterday will undoubtedly help equip our Junior FFA members with essential tools to succeed in their local communities. 🌍

🩸 Exciting things are happening in Mr. Cook’s Patient Care Technician class! 🙌 Students just began their Phlebotomy unit and completed their first hands-on lab today! They’ll keep practicing this essential skill until they’ve mastered it. 💪

Next year, these future healthcare professionals will have the chance to earn their Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification — an amazing step toward a rewarding medical career! 🩺✨
